Exhibition Design. Graphic Design. Content Development. Production and Construction.

Three permanent exhibitions at the Ningaloo Centre take visitors on a journey through the region’s social history, ‘reef to range’ ecological diversity and ancient landscapes.

FRD developed the interpretation and exhibition for a new Visitor and Events Centre in the Northern Territory

NT Government’s Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics, and Department of Tourism and Culture engaged FRD to develop the interpretation and exhibition ‘Darwin Grown’, for a new Visitor and Events Centre in the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens.

This project was opened in 2019 and included the development of content, 3D and graphic design, as well as documentation for the different spaces within the Visitor Centre. FRD worked with a local Larrakia ethno-botanist and artists to design two of the highlights of the exhibition: an interpretation of the Larrakia Seasonal Calendar and commissioned weavings by the Larrakia artists. The exhibition also includes an immersive multimedia environment, and iPad touchscreens for further visitor interactivity and investigation.

FRD were engaged by the Shire of Exmouth for content creation, documentation, graphic design, and delivery and installation for this suite of exhibitions.
