The Whitlam Institute at the University of Western Sydney houses a permanent exhibition A Changing Australia: The Time of Gough Whitlam. The exhibition explores how Gough Whitlam and his government not only reformed Australia’s laws and institutions, but changed the way Australia sees itself.
The interactive and engaging exhibition vividly recalls the dramatic and transformative years of the Whitlam Government, and brings history to life with a range of original objects and artifacts, as well as captivating archival photographs, film and sound recordings.
Freeman Ryan Design was engaged to design and deliver the exhibition, including interactives, showcase systems, artifact displays and graphics. FRD engaged John Murphy to curate the exhibition and Gary Warner to produce the multimedia.
