Southern Diversity was an exhibition exploring the rich and varied flora and fauna that exist in Southern Australia. Familiar and lesser-known groups including kangaroos, cockatoos, sea jellies, ants and sharks are highlighted through six Victorian environments.
The exhibition featured massed displays of taxidermy animated by programmed lighting effects. Graphic and lighting treatments were also utilised to create various natural environments. The circulation path through the exhibition was carefully considered to ensure that visitors were not overwhelmed by the wealth of material on display.
